New Orleans has been a city where the majority of its citizens are black. As a result of
Hurricane Katrina, it is now estimated that the city will have a white majority.
In light of this, Ray Nagin, Mayor of New Orleans said,
"It's time for us to rebuild New Orleans --the one that should be a chocolate [black] New
Orleans...this city will be a majority African American city."
Can you imagine a white mayor in a similar city saying something such as, "Our city should
be a WHITE city; this city will be a majority European American city." ? Would it be wrong
for a white mayor to utter such words? Would our liberal lawmakers call on this mayor to
step down? If indeed a white mayor would be asked to resign for such outlandish
statements, then why has not our black mayor of New Orleans been asked to do the
same? Woe unto you, hypocrites!
