The Deer Feeder Project
On Thanksgiving Day in 2006 I delivered to my dad a deer feeder stand which
he asked me to build.  I've just begun another project of building two more deer
feeder stands for my dad and one of his hunting buddies.   Follow along with the
progress of my project if you desire.  I'll be updating it from time to time and I'll let
you know when I add more.
25 degrees seemed about right.  I have my doubts, though.

The top metal plate is  1/8" thick (I think) and was cut to a finished 10" X 10".

Here is my nifty little template to lay out the leg brackets in the right place.  The lines
were merely transferred from the paper to the metal.  Unfortunately, the template is
upside down in this picture in relation to the metal.  Sorry.  (4-12-2008)
Here I'm drilling the center hole with a 5/8" bit, the biggest metal boring bit I had
stashed in the toolbox.  Look at the stud in the picture:  He's wearing his safety
glasses, just like a good boy.  Oh yea, and did you notice the cat in the background
trying to get in on the picture?  (4-15-2008)

The welding begins!  Here I'm putting on the first leg.  This is the leg upon which the
winch will be mounted.  Please notice the Coca-Cola.  My job depends on it.

This is the top plate with the all three legs attached.  You might notice that for now they
are merely tack welded in case I got my angles wrong.  I'll find out when I test fit the
legs which will hopefully happen this weekend.  (4-15-2008)

I'll let you know when I put up more pictures!
