The Deer Feeder Project
(Part 4)
Here we have some of the essential pieces for building the mount. As you'll see in one of the
photos below, a small brace was also added.

To get it all together we had to take a trip to the workbench. As you can see here, clamping
everything down afforded me the opportunity of welding everything with precision.
Now it's taking shape. After welding the vertical pieces, I mounted them to the barrel and
then it was a simple process of cutting the horizontal pieces along with the braces. Here
I'm preparing the angled braces for a sufficient dosage of weld wire.
At the end of the last set of pictures the pulley system was completed. In this last set
of pictures, I build the barrel mount and put everything together to see how it fits.
I don't know what you think, but that's the coolest deer feeder barrel mount I've ever
seen.
This is it! The crank hasn't yet been installed, but for all practical purposes, it is
finished. As you might detect from the photo, feet have been installed with a 1/2" hole
so that the feeder can be staked down. To me, it appears a little too tall so I think I'll
cut one foot off the legs if there is no objection. Besides that, I think it will work just
fine. Enjoy!
